We are excited to announce The Parkwood Hill Pumpkin Festival, taking place Saturday, November 5! This isn’t your ordinary “fall festival” or “trunk-or-treat,” although we will have numerous inflatables, several community vendors, and multiple food trucks.
The Parkwood Hill Pumpkin Festival is a first-of-its-kind, New England style pumpkin festival for all our families, friends, and neighbors! Once the sun goes down, we plan to illuminate dozens -if not hundreds- of carved pumpkins for all to enjoy, and will award the most outstanding entrants from our elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school students.
Get a pumpkin! Your very own big, round, orange, gourd! Then work your magic and turn that gourd into something gourd-geous! Bring your masterpiece to the Pumpkin Festival and enter the contest with happy hopes of winning!
The Lighting of the Pumpkins is a grand sight! This will be an incredible display of carved pumpkins that are strategically set and lit from within, so they radiate a collective glow sure to light up the smiles of all!
From the thrill of the jump to obstacle navigation, we’ve got over 18 inflatable adventures for all ages to conquer. You’ll also get a chance to enjoy many other fun filled games like dunking your favorite PHIS teacher in the dunk tank!
Whether you just want a snack to take off the edge of hunger or if you’re looking for something to test the elasticity of your stomach, we’ve got it! There will be many options to choose from to help satisfy that craving of yours and more importantly that will make dinner duty obsolete for Saturday the 5th!
Several business’ in our community are getting involved and supporting our festival! Providing additional games, entertainment, & giving things away for free as a they give back to our community. Experience what our local business leaders have to offer! See a list of our amazing sponsors below.
This is a community event! Not everything has to cost money to have fun. With teacher tug-of-war, sack races, face painting and much more. there's something for everyone in the commity to enjoy!
Admission in general is free and open to all - not just PHIS students and familes! The only thing items that will cost money are food and access to the fun zone. Otherwise, it's free!
Carve a pumpkin for the competition –or just for fun– and bring it to the Parkwood Hill Pumpkin Festival! We’ll check-in your pumpkin between 2-4 p.m., and you can place it on the rack. Before the sun goes down, all our carved pumpkins will be illuminated for a festive display!

IMPORTANT: Parents/Guardians are responsible for actively monitoring their children to ensure they carve their pumpkins safely at home. Carved designs must be school-appropriate, and Parkwood Hill PTA reserves the right to exclude any design from entry/display at their sole discretion. Students who wish to keep their pumpkins after the festival may retrieve them directly from the rack between 8:00-8:15 p.m. All pumpkins that remain after 8:15 p.m. will be disposed of.
